The Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (ASRY) and His Highness Shaikh Nasser Artificial Intelligence Research and Development Centre, will provide various AI/ML and Data analytics which streamline company’s process in accordance with the Industry Revolution 4.0.

The two organizations announced successful completion of the first Phase of the project with "Live Dashboard", where ASRY’s Big Data collected through various sensors will now be smartly analyzed and detected to aid operations engineers’ decision making. Furthermore, the two parties have agreed after the success launch of their product to continue with other phases of data analysis, artificial intelligence detection and predictions in energy consumptions.

Speaking during the inauguration phase, Mr. Mazen Mohammed Matar, Member of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of ASRY, expressed ASRY’s pride in being one of the first organizations in the region to embark towards Artificial Intelligence solution in the field of marine assets optimization, that boosts its position in the industry. Furthermore, he expressed his sincere appreciation to efforts exerted by HH SHK Nasser AI R&D Centre to contribute to the innovation vision.

For his part, the Executive Director of Nasser Vocational Training Centre, Dr. Abdulla Nasser Al-Noaimi, stated that the Centre has maintained capabilities and innovations that enable it to meet the requirements of various organizations in the areas of Artificial Intelligence solutions, that maintains its position as the leading AI R&D Centre in the kingdom with highly qualified and skillful scientists. He also added that; our ultimate aim is to enhance Bahrain’s position as a leading center for the innovative Artificial Intelligence in the region with the focus on young Bahraini entrepreneurs, that is in accordance with the Bahrain Comprehensive Economic Vision 2030.
